In the spring of 2013, the community of Alleghany County, Virginia, was shaken by the disappearance and subsequent discovery of the death of 24-year-old Ashley Kimberlin Rodriguez. A mother of four, Ashley was reported missing on a Monday in mid-May after she failed to arrive for her job at The Golden Living Center in Clifton Forge. This unsettling absence prompted a welfare check at her home, where law enforcement initially spoke with her husband, Adan 'Manuel' Quiroz Rodriguez.
