In the summer of 2013, a sense of unease settled over the Seasons Condominium complex in Alexandria, Virginia. On the evening of Wednesday, July 24th, the residents' peaceful lives were disrupted by the sound of gunfire. Responding to reports of shots fired, Alexandria police arrived at the 400 block of North Armistead Street around 5:30 p.m. In a rear stairwell of one of the buildings, they discovered the body of a man who had been shot.
The victim was identified as Bradley Bostick, a 40-year-old male resident of the complex. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene from an apparent gunshot wound to his upper body. The Northern Virginia Medical Examiner's office later confirmed the manner of death as a homicide. As detectives began their investigation, the area was cordoned off, and a palpable tension filled the air.
In the immediate aftermath, the Alexandria Police Department canvassed the neighborhood, seeking any information that might lead to a suspect. However, in the initial stages of the investigation, no clear motive for the shooting was established, and no description of a suspect or suspects was released to the public.
