On a cold winter day in Lynchburg, Virginia, the life of 37-year-old Stacy M. Young-Ritchie was tragically cut short. On January 20, 2014, she was found deceased in a home, the victim of a violent encounter that also resulted in the death of a man with whom she was in a relationship. The sorrowful event was later determined by authorities to be a murder-suicide.
