Christina Louise Hamilton, a 36-year-old mother, was found deceased in her Lynchburg, Virginia, home on Monday, September 30, 2024. A subsequent investigation determined that she had died from a gunshot wound. Friends and family remembered her as a bubbly and caring individual whose world revolved around her young daughter, Rheannon.
The investigation into her death quickly focused on Nathaniel Pridemore, the 33-year-old father of Christina's child. On the same day Christina's body was discovered, Pridemore was involved in another fatal shooting. He was identified as the suspect in the murder of 19-year-old Micah Cash Gaudio, who was shot and killed in his driveway. Following the shooting of Gaudio, police located Pridemore, who was holding his three-year-old child in one arm and a gun in the other.
After taking Pridemore into custody for the murder of Gaudio, police conducted a welfare check at the residence he shared with Christina Hamilton on Tbridge Road, which is when they discovered her body. Initially considered a person of interest in her death, Pridemore was later charged with her murder. Over the following months, the charges against him in connection with both deaths were upgraded. In May 2025, Pridemore was charged with aggravated murder for the death of Christina Hamilton.
The connection between the two killings on the same day shocked the Lynchburg community. Pridemore was already incarcerated for the murder of Micah Gaudio when he was formally charged with Christina's murder. This allowed investigators more time to build their case in her death. As of October 2025, Nathaniel Pridemore was awaiting a jury trial scheduled for March of the following year on charges including aggravated murder and child abuse. Christina's family, while devastated by their loss, expressed their faith in the legal process and their hope for justice for both Christina and Micah.
