In the spring of 2014, the community of Newport News, Virginia, was shaken by the violent death of one of its respected elders. Clinton Stonewall Jackson Sr., a 79-year-old male, was found shot inside his vehicle on the evening of April 8th. The incident occurred in the 600 block of 33rd Street, where his car, after he was shot, continued to travel westbound before striking a parked vehicle and coming to a stop against a chain-link fence.
