In the early summer of 2014, the life of 21-year-old Develle Lamont Thomas was tragically cut short. A young father from Richmond, Virginia, Thomas was shot and killed on June 2nd of that year. The fatal incident occurred outside the Midlothian Village apartments, leaving a family and community to mourn a life lost to gun violence.
