Gilbert C. McGriff III, a 24-year-old resident of Virginia Beach, VA, tragically lost his life on July 30, 2014. The incident occurred in the 1300 block of Sierra Drive, where McGriff was shot. Emergency services responded to the scene shortly after 9 p.m., and McGriff was transported to a local hospital. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead at approximately 11:34 p.m. that night.
