In a tragic turn of events stemming from a domestic dispute, 22-year-old Michelle S. Kelly of Richmond, Virginia, lost her life on October 8, 2014. The harrowing incident also resulted in the deaths of her two-year-old son, Keytrell Kelly, and her 19-year-old friend, Adreena Gary. The events unfolded at Michelle's residence on East Roanoke Street.
The perpetrator was identified as Traymont Burton, Michelle's ex-boyfriend and the father of her child.
A dispute between the former couple escalated, leading to a devastating outcome. Adreena Gary was present at the home in an attempt to mediate the conflict between Michelle and Burton.
Unfortunately, the situation spiraled out of control. Burton fatally shot Adreena outside the residence before entering the house and killing Michelle and their young son. Following the murders, Burton then took his own life. When Richmond Police responded to reports of shots fired, they discovered the bodies and quickly determined the incident to be a murder-suicide. Investigators concluded that the motive was rooted in the domestic dispute and confirmed that Traymont Burton was the sole person responsible. As the perpetrator died at the scene, there were no subsequent arrests or legal proceedings in connection with this case.
