Jeremiah Eugene Jones, a 33-year-old resident of Petersburg, Virginia, was reported missing by his family on December 31, 2014. His body was discovered near Poplar Grove National Cemetery on February 7, 2015. The State Medical Examiner's Office determined that Jones died from multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide. The investigation revealed that Jones had been shot three times, including in the head and chest.
