On March 23, 2015, in a quiet home on Battery Park Road in Chesapeake, Virginia, a tragedy unfolded that would leave a community in shock and a case that remains a haunting mystery. Inside the residence, 62-year-old Laurel Sanchez and her friend, 57-year-old Denise Perdue, were found deceased, both victims of apparent gunshot wounds. The discovery was made after police were called to the home for a report of an injured person in the early afternoon.
