On a tragic evening in Newport News, Virginia, the life of 13-year-old Jada Richardson was cut short by a senseless act of violence. It was April 6, 2015, and Jada was attending a birthday party on the 800 block of W. 25th Street. The celebration turned into a scene of horror when gunfire erupted, fatally wounding Jada and 17-year-old Domingo Santiago Davis Jr. Police were called to the scene at approximately 10:25 p.m. where they found the two teenagers deceased from their injuries.
