On a summer evening in Newport News, Virginia, the life of 29-year-old Patricia Morgan Joseph was tragically cut short. On July 30, 2017, she was at her home in the Chesapeake Village Mobile Home Park, spending time with her two young sons, her new boyfriend, and her father, Jessie Abraham Barnes. The ordinary evening turned horrific when a knock came at the door. When Patricia answered, she was met with gunfire.
