Death by Force

Tonieo E. Burden, a 40-year-old resident of Portsmouth, Virginia, was tragically shot and killed on May 2, 2015. The incident occurred in the afternoon, around 3:43 p.m., when police responded to reports of a man lying in the road with a gunshot wound on the 800 block of Commerce Street. Upon arrival, officers found Burden with a gunshot wound to the upper torso, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
