Jamal Alston, a 23-year-old resident of Petersburg, Virginia, tragically lost his life on May 12, 2015. The incident occurred in the 100 block of Spring Street, where police responded to reports of a shooting inside a home. Upon arrival, officers found Alston suffering from a gunshot wound. He received immediate medical attention at the scene before being transported to Southside Regional Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
