On a Friday afternoon in Roanoke, Virginia, the life of 43-year-old Melissa Lynn Cook came to a tragic end. On May 13, 2016, police responded to a call of a shooting at a home on Holmes Street NE. Inside, they found a grim scene. Melissa was discovered unresponsive in the living room, having suffered a fatal gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
