In the early morning hours of July 17, 2019, the life of 21-year-old Kyyona Nicole Casey was tragically cut short in Roanoke, Virginia. She was a passenger in a car on Orange Avenue in the northwest part of the city when the vehicle was targeted in a shooting. Patrolling police officers heard the gunshots and quickly discovered the car with three occupants inside suffering from gunshot wounds.
