On a summer day in Roanoke, Virginia, the quiet life of a young family was tragically cut short. On August 26, 1973, five-year-old Pamela Charlene Nail, a White female, was found deceased alongside her mother and siblings in their home. The other victims were her mother, Sharol Juanita Crotts Nail, who was 29, and her three siblings: 10-year-old Charles Nail Jr., 8-year-old Michael Eugene Nail, and the youngest, 1-year-old Kimberly Nail.
