In the late autumn of 2016, a young man's life was abruptly cut short in what was described as a tragic accident. Kavon Antoan Cooper, a 21-year-old male, died on Sunday, November 20, 2016. Remembered affectionately as 'Lil Coop,' he was known for his infectious smile and sense of humor. A graduate of Dinwiddie Senior High School, he had been active in the Dinwiddie Youth League, playing both football and basketball.
