On the morning of May 11, 2025, Mother's Day, Taquan D. “Glizzy” Rhodes, age 32, a Black male from Petersburg, Virginia, was shot in the 200 block of Seyler Drive just off South Crater Road. Crime Insider reporting described an argument that preceded the gunfire.
