In the winter of 2020, the life of 19-year-old Travonte L. Williams was tragically cut short in a burst of violence that also claimed the life of another young man. On the evening of Saturday, January 11, 2020, in Petersburg, Virginia, both Williams and 19-year-old Robert Paul 'Rah-Rah' Pickett were fatally shot. Williams, a Black male, was remembered by those who knew him for his kind heart and his devotion to his family, particularly his twin brother.
