On a cold December evening in Hampton, Virginia, the life of 24-year-old Devin Tremaine Jones, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short. On December 23, 2016, at approximately 10:22 PM, Jones was the victim of a fatal shooting at the intersection of Todds Lane and Whealton Road. Following the incident, he was driven by two male friends in a 2003 Saturn SUV to a local Sentara hospital. Despite their efforts, Jones was pronounced deceased upon arrival due to a gunshot wound.
