Nateria S. Nae Powell, an 18-year-old high school senior from Norfolk, Virginia, tragically lost her life on May 21, 2017. Powell was shot at an apartment complex on Lead Street in the Mission College neighborhood. Norfolk Police officers responded to the scene around 12:45 p.m. and found Powell with a gunshot wound. She was transported to Sentara General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after.
