Jon W. Alston, aged 42, was found dead on March 6, 2018, in a wooded area in South Richmond, Virginia. His body was discovered by a work crew clearing brush along power lines in the 2100 block of Lumkin Avenue. Alston had been reported missing from Chesterfield County in mid-January, after disappearing from the Hancock Village Walmart parking lot. His death was particularly notable because he was a suspect in the January 7, 2018, murder of Garry Harrison, Jr. on Warwick Avenue in South Richmond.
