Mikal Nichols, a 22-year-old resident of Portsmouth, Virginia, tragically lost his life on June 2, 2018, in Chesapeake, Virginia. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when Chesapeake police responded to a report of a shooting on Linster Street. Upon arrival, they discovered two individuals with gunshot wounds. Nichols was transported to Norfolk General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
