In the early morning hours of June 4, 2018, the body of 23-year-old Kiara M. Etheridge was discovered in the middle of Dill Road in Suffolk, Virginia. A subsequent investigation determined that the young mother had been fatally shot. For years, the case remained cold, leaving her family and the community searching for answers. Etheridge was remembered by her cousin as a loving mother to her young son, someone whose smile could light up a room.
