Corey McKinley Merchant, a 38-year-old resident of Chesapeake, Virginia, tragically passed away on October 18, 2018. Corey was born on October 14, 1980, and worked for the Military Sealift Command for 12 years. His death was the result of a shooting incident that occurred on the night of October 17, 2018. Corey was shot just before 11 p.m. in the 2000 block of Linster Street in Chesapeake.
