In the winter of 2018, the life of 17-year-old Yishawn Robinson, a Black male known affectionately as 'Ya Ya,' was tragically cut short. On the night of December 2nd, in the 1900 block of Raven Street in Richmond, Virginia, Robinson was found deceased, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound. His body was discovered between apartment buildings by a patrolling police officer who had been alerted to the scene.
