Kenneth R. Ard, aged 53, tragically passed away on January 7, 2019, in Portsmouth, Virginia. Ard, who was homeless at the time, was actively seeking housing assistance. He was being helped by Ronita Lamb to secure a place in Chesapeake homeless housing. On the morning of his death, Ard was found with a fatal gunshot wound to the head on Rapidan Street.
