On March 9, 2019, a dispute in a Newport News, Virginia rooming house ended in the shooting death of 30-year-old Quintez Montrel Moore. A Black/African American male, Moore was a resident of the home on 55th Street where the altercation and subsequent shooting occurred. The incident, which took place at approximately 2:00 p.m., involved a 61-year-old female resident of the same house.
