On the evening of April 20, 2019, in Hampton, Virginia, 37-year-old Jarrett Parker, a male from New Jersey, was found shot at the intersection of Shell Road and Greenlawn Avenue. Hampton Police officers were dispatched to the scene following a 'man down' complaint at approximately 7:30 PM and located Parker around 8:04 PM. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased by medics shortly after their arrival.
Witnesses at the scene reported hearing gunshots and then
the sound of a vehicle speeding away from the area. The Hampton Police Division initiated a homicide investigation into Parker's death. Authorities have encouraged anyone with information regarding the shooting to come forward and contact the Hampton Police Division or the Crime Line, as they seek to identify the suspect or suspects involved.
The case remains an active investigation. To date, no arrests have been publicly announced, and no suspects have been officially named in connection with the shooting death of Jarrett Parker.
