In the late hours of a Monday evening in Richmond, Virginia, the life of 33-year-old Omar T. Green was tragically cut short. On June 17, 2019, while outside the North Avenue Food Market and Deli, a place familiar to the neighborhood, Omar was shot. Richmond Police received a call about the shooting just before 11 p.m. and rushed to the 2300 block of North Avenue.
