Jayden Quick, a 20-year-old male, was fatally shot on December 30, 2019, in the Alexandria section of Fairfax County, Virginia. The incident, which also left his 18-year-old brother, Kamren Quick, seriously injured, unfolded in the early morning hours in their home at the Sequoyah condominiums on Sausalito Place.
Responding to a report of a shooting shortly before 2:40 a.m., Fairfax County police discovered Kamren Quick outside the residence with a gunshot wound. Inside, they found Jayden Quick, who had also been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene. Kamren Quick was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Investigators stated that the shooting did not appear to be a random act of violence.
A suspect, identified as 20-year-old Jeremiah Mouzon of Centreville, was arrested in Prince George's County, Maryland, a few days after the shooting. He was charged with second-degree murder, malicious shooting, and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Following his arrest, Mouzon was expected to be extradited to Fairfax County to face trial. The motive for the shooting was not immediately released by authorities.
