In the late hours of a summer evening in Norfolk, Virginia, the life of a young Black/African American man, Tabari C. Anthony, aged 21, was tragically cut short. On the night of August 8, 2020, sometime around 11:15 p.m., a violent encounter unfolded in the parking lot of a Wawa convenience store located at 3360 E. Princess Anne Road.
