Carlos Levell Rose, a 45-year-old resident of Appomattox, Virginia, was reported missing on October 21, 2020. His last known contact was on October 20, 2020. The following day, authorities discovered his burned-out vehicle, a 2002 GMC Yukon, in the Appomattox-Buckingham State Forest. Inside the vehicle, they found human remains, which were later identified as those of Carlos Levell Rose.
