On a cold December evening in 2020, the life of 21-year-old Sara R. Hammond was tragically cut short in a home in Stanardsville, Virginia. A graduate of Charlottesville High School, where she had been a member of the women's basketball team, Sara was known for her love of dance and music. On December 1st, she was a guest at the home of her acquaintance, 17-year-old Brandon Wade Shifflett.
