On December 5, 2020, Torico Reaves Jr., an 18-year-old from Virginia Beach, was fatally shot in the parking lot of a Wawa convenience store located in the 2900 block of Godwin Boulevard in Suffolk, Virginia. The incident occurred around 6 p.m., and shortly after the shooting, Reaves was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening gunshot wounds. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
