Deshawn Maurice Bazemore, Jr., a 22-year-old resident of Suffolk, Virginia, tragically lost his life on May 15, 2022, due to a fatal shooting. The incident occurred around 8:20 p.m. in the 100 block of Nancy Drive, a residential area off Carolina Road, south of downtown Suffolk. According to reports, Suffolk police received multiple calls about shots being fired in the vicinity. Upon arrival, officers found Bazemore with a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
