In the early morning hours of March 19, 2021, the life of 31-year-old Erica Yolanda Eldridge was tragically cut short in a parking lot in Petersburg, Virginia. A mother of three, Eldridge was found with a fatal gunshot wound in what authorities would later describe as a domestic-related homicide. The incident unfolded in the 500 block of South South Street, where neighbors reported hearing screams followed by a single gunshot.
