In the late hours of a Friday night in Norfolk, Virginia, tragedy befell Leonco S. Lamb, a 31-year-old Black man. On March 18, 2022, at approximately 11:30 p.m., police were dispatched to the 2700 block of Myrtle Avenue following a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Lamb suffering from grave gunshot wounds.
Emergency responders acted swiftly, transporting him to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, the injuries proved to be too severe, and Leonco S. Lamb succumbed to his wounds at the hospital. The incident was quickly classified as a homicide, prompting an investigation by the Norfolk Police Department.
In the days that followed, family and friends mourned the loss of a man they remembered fondly. His funeral services were held at Graves Funeral Home in Norfolk, where loved ones gathered to pay their final respects.
