In the summer of 2022, a tragic event unfolded in Portsmouth, Virginia, claiming the life of 37-year-old Oleisha Deanna Mears and three others. On the morning of June 7th, gunshots shattered the quiet of a home on Maple Avenue. When police arrived, they discovered a grim scene. Mears, along with 30-year-old Georgio Davonta Lee and 34-year-old Ashley Merricks, were found deceased inside the residence.
