In the summer of 2022, a young man's life was cut short in Roanoke, Virginia, leaving a family devastated and a community searching for answers. Chris Lamont Graves Jr., a 23-year-old male, was fatally shot on the evening of Thursday, June 9, 2022. The incident occurred in the 700 block of Hunt Avenue NW, where law enforcement officers responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered Graves in a parking lot, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
