Tavon Johnnie Harris Jr., a 19-year-old from Emporia, Virginia, tragically lost his life on August 2, 2022. He was found with a gunshot wound in the front yard of a house on the 500 block of Park Avenue around midnight. Despite efforts by officers and the Greensville County Rescue Squad to save him, Harris was pronounced dead at the Southern Virginia Regional Medical Center.
