Te-Hsing Yang, known affectionately as Sam, was a 67-year-old male who owned and operated the China Garden restaurant in Emporia, Virginia, for many years. His life, built on hard work and dedication to his family after moving to the United States from Taiwan, came to a tragic and violent end on the evening of June 14, 2023. On that day, what began as a regular night of business at the West Atlantic Street restaurant turned into a scene of horror.
