In the late afternoon of August 16, 2022, the life of 33-year-old Patrick Lanigan Duffy was tragically cut short in Danville, Virginia. Responding to calls of shots fired at approximately 4:19 PM, police arrived at the 300 block of Halifax Street to find Duffy suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds to his upper body.
