In the early morning hours of September 24, 2022, the life of 30-year-old Nene Aida Klein was tragically cut short in Richmond, Virginia. Responding to reports of a shooting at approximately 2:40 a.m., Richmond Police arrived at the 600 block of Elgin Terrace to find Klein suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite immediate attention, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities identified 30-year-old Laquan Johnson of Chesterfield as a suspect in the case. A search for Johnson ensued, culminating in his apprehension in Orange County, Virginia. Following his capture, Laquan Johnson was charged with first-degree murder in connection with Nene Aida Klein's death.
