On the morning of October 23, 2022, a verbal dispute in Hampton, Virginia, tragically escalated, ending the life of 52-year-old Brent Leland Vinson. The male victim was on West Mercury Boulevard when he became engaged in an argument with another man.
The altercation turned fatal when the other individual, identified as Marc Anthony Harris, discharged a firearm, inflicting a mortal wound upon Vinson. When police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Vinson suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the location.
Following the shooting, Marc Anthony Harris fled the area. He was later apprehended by authorities and taken into custody. Harris faced multiple charges in connection with the death of Brent Vinson, including second-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and discharging a firearm in public. The investigation concluded that the argument between Vinson and Harris was the direct catalyst for the deadly shooting.
