In the early morning hours of October 30, 2022, the life of 29-year-old Desiree Nicole Lightfoot, a Black female, was tragically cut short in Portsmouth, Virginia. Police responded to a call around 5:21 a.m. in the 900 block of Randolph Street, where they discovered Lightfoot with fatal injuries. Her death was quickly classified as a homicide, prompting an investigation by the Portsmouth Police Department.
