In the early morning hours of June 16, 2007, a dispute in Camden, New Jersey, turned deadly, claiming the life of 28-year-old Mariano Vega Jr. The fatal encounter unfolded on the 300 block of Chestnut Street, where Vega and his younger brother, Eduardo, became embroiled in an argument with another individual.
