In the evening hours of a late November day, tragedy struck on a street in Newark, New Jersey, forever altering the lives of those who knew Zaire Williams. On November 29, 2014, the 23-year-old man from Irvington was found on the 700 block of South 20th Street, having been fatally shot. When police responded to the scene at approximately 9 p.m., they discovered Williams, who was pronounced dead where he lay.
