Anthony Jones

Anthony Jones, a 43-year-old Black man, found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time on the evening of January 27, 2015. He had recently moved his family from their home on Pearl Street in Trenton, New Jersey, hoping to escape the escalating violence and open-air drug activity that plagued the neighborhood. Despite the move, he returned to the 200 block of Pearl Street that Tuesday evening to check the mail and gather some remaining belongings. It was a decision that would prove fatal.
